Booking Through Thursday & Theme Thursdays #1

What’s more important: Good writing? Or a good story?
(Of course, a book should have BOTH, but…)

Wow, That's a tough one.
I guess I would go with story. While writing is extremely important and sometimes the voice, the beauty with which you construct the sentences can make or break a book, I definitely need a story that is worthwhile. What's the point of a stunning prose if there is no good plot.
But that's just because I had to choose,  I think a book MUST have both. I want my cake and I want to eat it too.
Think, Ian McEwan or Margaret Atwood.
Great plots and pretty prose.

This week’s theme is

VERY

"The very complexity of her feelings confirmed Briony in her view that she was entering an arena of adult emotion and dissembling from which her writing was bound to benefit. "

"I'm very very sorry."

On My Wishlist #2

On My Wishlist is a weekly meme by Book Chick City.

After losing her sister and finding out who- or what- she really is, Vanessa returns home for her senior year. Everyone at Hawthorne Prep has questions about her tragic summer, but knowing who to open up to is impossible. As she walks the halls without Justine for the very first time, Vanessa has more to worry about than just making a new life for herself.

Because the sirens are out for revenge. To protect herself and the ones she loves, Vanessa must call on powers she believes she has but does not know how to use. To learn, she'll have to seek help from the only person who truly knows her. But first, she must admit the truth about her real identity.

or made a difference in your blogging experience?

The Story Siren, Of Course.

Q.How/Where do you get your books? Do you buy them or go to the library? Is there a certain website you use like paperbackswap?

Nowhere particular.
Also, I don't like taking books from libraries because I get attached to them easily and I really do not feel like returning them!
