Vanessa and Simon team up to figure out if these creepy deaths have anything to do with Justine and Caleb. But will what Vanessa discovers mean the end of her summer romance, or even life as she knows it?

I read Siren before I started blogging so I never came around to posting a review for it.

However, when I mentioned Undercurrent (Siren #2) On My Wishlist #2  I realised that a lot of people had never even heard of Siren! And their response to the summary of Undercurrent was extremely positive.

So I decided to post the review on Siren before I post the Undercurrent review.

Siren captivated me from page 1. Tricia Rayburn’s writing was fluid and soulful. It flowed effortlessly and I was sucked into the story.

The plot was brilliant and mythical sea creatures are like a breath of fresh air in young adult paranormal fiction which is flooded with vampires, witches and fallen angels.

Siren in fact is the first urban fantasy I have given 5 stars!!

The mystery and suspense kept me turning the pages and I also loved how the romance didn’t start out intense and took time to build up. It made it so much more believable.

Vanessa was an amazing protagonist. She was unique and had a lot of emotional depth. I could relate to her at times like when she was scared of things and I guess it made me love her all the more. All the characters were well-developed.

The setting was perfect. Winter Harbor was creepy and alluring at the same time. The entire town was filled with secrets.

One of the best paranormal books I have read.

I was completely swept away. It was pure escapism.

Siren was tantalizing and flawless.
